Collectors spend their time choosing a cooling system, but a climate unit can only hold what the insulation around it lets it hold. A cellar has to be insulated more thoroughly than the rest of the house, or the system runs constantly and the humidity drifts with the weather.
We build the envelope in Cellarfoam — rigid, moisture-resistant panel with tongue-and-groove edges that lock into a continuous, vapour-resistant face. It delivers a high thermal value in a thin profile, comes in 30, 50 and 75mm thicknesses, and takes plain or textured render for a hard, impact-resistant wall that can be pressure-washed or steam-cleaned without damage.
Insulation is specified as part of the cellar design, not added after: the right thickness for the room, with continuous coverage across walls, ceiling and slab. A vapour barrier and thermal break separate the cool cellar from the warm space around it, so the two climate zones never meet where the dew point can be reached and moisture can form. And it’s designed to match the climate control system, so the envelope and the cooling are sized to work together — and the warranties align.
