Blackened Ash Wine Cellar Racking.

Blackened ash is our most architectural system — and a contemporary answer to what is otherwise a very traditional room. The timber is white ash, heat-treated so the colour runs right through the grain rather than sitting on the surface as a stain. It’s built to read as a single sculptural volume rather than a set of shelves, which is why it sits so naturally in contemporary residential interiors. It’s the system architects and designers reach for when the cellar is part of the room’s design, not hidden behind a door.

The black isn’t applied, it’s cooked in. Heat treatment takes the colour through the timber, so the grain stays visible and the finish never wears back to pale.

  • Material — Heat-treated white ash.
  • Finish — Natural.
  • Applications — Walk-in cellars, glass-fronted display cellars, under-stair, feature walls, contemporary interiors.
  • Bottle formats — Fully customisable to suit any collection — openings sized to the bottles you actually own, from 750ml through champagne, magnum and large format. Can also be standardised to take most common bottle sizes.
  • Orientation — Typically mass storage with display rows showing labels, with stored bottles above and below.
  • Configurations — Single depth or double depth. Diamond bins, display rows, side displays, case storage and slatted shelves — all fully customisable.
  • Depth — Single depth 330mm · Double depth 660mm.
  • Capacity — Approximately 100 bottles per square metre of rack face at single depth; approximately 200 at double depth. Subject to configuration.
  • Lighting — Integrated LED, typically over display rows — fully customisable.

The dark timber recedes. The wine becomes the colour.

Cellar Creations designs and builds bespoke wine cellars and racking. We do not sell wine, spirits, beer or any other alcohol, and we do not hold a liquor licence.

A third party website is currently publishing a listing under our business name, address and telephone number describing us as a retailer of wine and spirits, with trading hours and a photograph that are not ours, alongside alcohol offered for sale. That listing was not authorised by us and the information in it is false.

We are also receiving a high volume of enquiries that are not genuine, including requests for video consultations to work through design options and costings where there is no project behind them. It is taking us longer than usual to separate a real enquiry from a false one. If your enquiry has been met with more caution than you expected, that is why, and we are sorry for it. We ask genuine clients to bear with us.
